The Asian Games is a multi-sport event held every four years among all athletes from all over Asia. It is the second largest multi-sport event in the world after the Summer Olympics. The Asian Games were first held in 1951 in New Delhi, India, and have been held every four years since then.
The Asian Games are organized by the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA), which is the governing body for sports in Asia. The OCA was founded in 1949 and has its headquarters in Kuwait City, Kuwait.

History of the Asian Games
The Asian Games were first held in 1951 in New Delhi, India. The games were the brainchild of Guru Dutt Sondhi, who was the President of the Indian Olympic Association at the time. The first Asian Games featured 489 athletes from 11 countries competing in 57 events.
The Asian Games have grown significantly over the years. The 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta and Palembang, Indonesia featured 11,313 athletes from 45 countries competing in 465 events.

The 19th Asian Games will be held in Hangzhou, China from September 10 to 25, 2023. The games will feature 40 sports and 61 disciplines. The following are some of the key highlights of the Asian Games 2023:
